Crawford Architects: Attention to Detail in Design and Execution

At Crawford Architects, meticulous attention to detail is fundamental to every project we take on. In the restoration of this Grade II Listed house in the Holly Grove Conservation Area, we focused on seamlessly blending modern enhancements with the historical charm of the early Victorian stucco'd villa.

Throughout construction, our team ensured that every detail in the plans was executed perfectly, being hands-on managing the interfaces between the different trades and specialists. This involved reshaping the garden, installing new drainage systems, and meticulously restoring original features with precision and expertise.

Our primary goal was to improve garden access while maintaining privacy and creating a cohesive indoor/outdoor living space. We also aimed to increase ceiling heights in new extensions to address low ceilings in other areas of the flat.

Working closely with craftsmen and builders, we brought the design vision to life with accuracy and finesse. Celebrating the villa's original features was key, preserving and highlighting the building's historical significance.

Photographs by Morley Von Sternberg beautifully depict the transformation of the Grade II Listed house, showcasing a seamless blend of old-world charm and contemporary functionality. At Crawford Architects, our dedication to top-notch design and execution is evident in every detail, resulting in spaces that are not only visually appealing but also practical and long-lasting.
